My New Rug

Ok, so I have been looking for a super cute rug for my Living Room for a long time (try over a year)!  I really love the tan/cream shag rugs, but I felt they only looked super cute on dark hardwood floors and since I have tan carpet, I wanted some type of contrast.  I thought about going with a traditional rug, but it just doesn't fit my style.  Anyway,  I stumbled across this rug and I fell in love with it.  So, of course I waited 2 months to build up the courage to go buy it and then prayed that they still had it.  I know it is a little bold, but thats what I love about it.  Plus, I thought it tied all of my colors together really well.  You will have to let me know what you think, and it's ok to tell me you hate it.  Here was my husbands thoughts, "tell me again, what's the purpose of a rug."  And when I asked if he liked it he said, "it's growing on me".

Halloween 2009

Emily - Ballerina with attitude

Emily

Adam, Ethan & Emily

Adam - Buzz light year & Ethan - Darth Vader

This year Halloween was extra fun! All three of the little ones were interested in the candy. Ethan decided to be Darth Vader, Adam was Buzz Light Year and Emily was a ballerina. On Friday we had our ward Harvest Carnival, the kids seemed to have a great time. I was in charge of the carnival so Dan unfortunately had to run all 3 kids around to the different booths. After the Carnival we had a Trunk or Treat, which the kids got even more candy from. We had a overwhelming turn out for the Harvest Carnival, over 300 people showed up, let's just say it was standing room only!
Saturday, we met up with the Nelsons, Schramms, Griffiths and a few other families. The kids were running up and down the streets screaming Trick or Treat. Our little ones seemed to tire out much faster than everyone else. So, we went home as soon as it was dark. After getting everyone in bed Dan and I spent the rest of the evening stuffing our faces with chocolate and watching "The Proposal". It is a good thing Sunday was fast Sunday!
